A few weeks ago, I talked about investing in a leather jacket. Today I want to discuss another item worth investing in: a designer bag!
Although the price might seem a bit jarring, a designer handbag is worth investing in for a few reasons. First, the quality. Because the craftsmanship and materials used in a designer bag are top of the line, the bag will last you for the rest of your lifetime.
Second, a classic designer bag will never go out of fashion. The key here is to choose a designer bag that is timeless. Try and stay away from purses that are somewhat trendy. For example, several years ago, Louis Vuitton (LV) introduced a line of bags with its monogram in several colors. Rather than choose this type of bag, the smarter choice would be the classic brown LV.
Finally, a designer bag will only increase in worth over time. When I initially purchased my Chanel flap bag ten years ago, it cost approximately $2500. Now the same bag costs almost double!!
So what are your thoughts on investing in bags? What’s the most recent bag you’ve purchased? Let me know in the comments below! PS – I LOVE this Saint Laurent! If you’ve been eyeing it and have any questions feel free to ask me!

That bag is gorgeous! I’ve been saving up for a classic designer bag like this, because its something that will never really go out of style. It’s costly, but definitely makes up for it in the long run.
