One of the first blog posts I ever wrote was about pairing pencil skirts with a graphic tee. Since then, I’ve written several more posts featuring the pencil skirt and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon because it’s a favorite of mine!
As I’ve stated in the past, the silhouette of the pencil skirt works on every body type. The only variable that will change is the length of the skirt. If you are shorter, make sure that the skirt ends above your knees. If you are taller you can get away with a longer hemline!
I particularly love the fabric of this pencil skirt for fall. I decided to wear it with its matching top, but you can literally pair it with any top. The key is to make sure you tuck in whatever top you wear so that you keep your body’s proportions in check!
So do you love pencil skirts as much as I do? Let me know in the comments below!

Oh yes, good lord yes. I’d rather see a lovely figure in a pencil skirt than in a swim suit…definitely, always. (….oh ….well except if she or we are in the water).

Love it – Pencil skirts are my favorite. But I would struggle with what “third piece” to wear proportion-wise with this outfit: long blazer, short denim, fringey shawl? What do you think?

I would do a shorter blazer actually. I’m going to be featuring a favorite of mine soon, and the reason I love it is because the back of the blazer comes up, so it won’t chop your proportions! Definitely keep your eye out for the post! xo yael
