It’s hard to believe it, but the Fourth of July is almost here and with it comes the usual dilemma – what to wear! The goal of course it to look patriotic without looking like you’re dressed as the American flag.
One of the easiest ways to achieve the perfect balance is by pairing a red top with a navy pair of shorts (or jean shorts for a more casual look). For the finishing touch, throw on white shoes and you’re all set (I’m wearing heels, but white sneakers would look great as well). Feeling patriotic, but want to take it down a notch? Swap out the white shoes for a neutral color pair!
Because Fourth of July celebrations usually entail BBQ food (delicious but messy!), I always wear an affordable top. I love this Aqua top because it looks expensive but is only $58. Plus since Aqua is sold exclusively at Bloomingdale’s it feels more special!
What do you usually wear on the Fourth of July? Let me know in the comments below!
{Top: Aqua (also love this one) | Shorts: alice + olivia (also love these and these) | Shoes: similar here, here, and here | Cartilage Earring: Gorjana | Sunglasses: Rayban | Foundation: Giorgio Armani | Lipstick: Nars (shade Bolero)}
Special thanks to Bloomingdale’s for sponsoring this post!
