Yesterday’s post addressed what to wear to a daytime or informal wedding. Today let’s tackle another wedding related question I get – what to wear as a guest to a bridal shower.
If ever there was a time not to wear black this is it. A bridal shower is a fun, happy event and you want your outfit to reflect that! On the opposite end of the spectrum, do NOT wear an all white dress (or all white outfit) since this is the bride’s moment to shine.
So let’s talk about what you can wear! If the bridal shower is more informal, then you can wear a pretty sundress (like the one I’m wearing in this post) or a skirt and top. Because the shower is informal, you can pair your look with sandals if you want. However, if the bridal shower is taking place at a more fancy venue, then switch out the sandals for a pair of heels and you’re all set!
Of course, I can’t end this post without talking about the dress I’m wearing in these photos. I love the pattern, which is cheerful and fun and the length is perfect (be careful of wearing a dress that’s too short to a shower – remember you don’t want to take attention away from the bride). Aside from those characteristics, I really love the price; It is an identical duplicate of a Zimmermann dress, but at a fraction of the cost ($69.90 vs $850.00).
I’ve shared some other options which would be perfect to wear as a guest to a bridal shower so make sure to check them out and stay tuned for another wedding related post – what to wear to to your OWN bridal shower! As always let me know if you have any questions in the comments below!
