Velvet is having a major fashion moment – from boots, to pants, to jackets – it’s everywhere! With the holiday season fast approaching, I thought it would be the perfect time to show you how to incorporate the velvet trend into the perfect holiday outfit!
If you’ve followed the blog for awhile, you know that when it comes to the holidays I tend to favor a “non-traditional” holiday look. Instead of opting for an ultra feminine look (e.g., a fitted dress, short skirt), I favor more of a menswear inspired look. So, of course, when I saw this velvet blazer and velvet shorts at Express I was thrilled!
Both pieces look super luxe, but are extremely affordable. Because I wanted to show a holiday look incorporating velvet I paired them together, but I also plan on styling each piece individually. The velvet blazer would look great paired with jeans and t-shirt and the velvet shorts would look super chic paired with a black turtleneck, opaque stockings, and a pair of patent heels or ankle booties!
