If you’ve read my blog for some time you know that I’m always a proponent of style over fashion (not sure of the difference between the two, check out this post I wrote on the topic!). Two big fashion trends right now that perfectly align with my style are tie neck blouses and skinny scarves!
What’s great about this blouse is that you can style it as a tie neck blouse or as blouse with a skinny scarf!! Because I paired the blouse with a casual bottom I tied the scarf in a loose knot, though I was also tempted to just leave it open all together.
If you want a more dressy look then tie the scarf into a bow! Next pair the blouse with a pencil skirt or pants and you’re all set!

I think wide leg pants are definitely in, but even if they aren’t I’m always a proponent of style over fashion, meaning if I like and it’s my style I will wear it even if it’s not in fashion. Conversely just because something is in fashion, I won’t wear it unless it fits my style!
It’s a cool style.

Sometimes fashion-blogger postings are like music to me. And the comments section is the dance floor. (!) The better the outfit, the photos, the lady-vibe, the more I’ll feel like dancing. It helps if the decor is good, if the dance floor is not too crowded, and when the staff is friendly.
There is something so edgy yet gentle about today’s look.

Love the look! I picked up a pair of flares in the spring that I love but never got a chance to wear much, I am so looking forward to pulling them out now that the weather is cooling down!
