Aside from visiting family and spending time relaxing on the beach, one of my favorite things to do when I’m in Israel is take photos for the blog and Instagram. I love living in New York but it’s so fun being able to shoot looks in a completely different setting (which happens to be beautiful)!
As soon as I saw this pink dress I knew I wanted to take it with me to Israel to photograph. The draping on the dress has a mediterranean feel and I knew the Jerusalem stone and Bougainvillea flowers would provide the perfect backdrop to showcase it.
A few quick notes about this dress – it is heavy. The reason the draping is so beautiful is because there are a lot of layers. In order for the layers to fall the way they should you will definitely want to steam the dress when you first get it (read about my favorite steamer here). The good news is that the dress traveled well; I didn’t have a steamer in Israel and thankfully the dress didn’t wrinkle too badly. The last tip I have involves the tie closure. When I used the belt loops provided, the dress got a bit too bulky in the front of the dress, so instead I just ignored the loops and tied the dress over them instead!
Other than that this dress is amazing! It would be perfect to wear to a summer wedding, or with flat sandals for a more casual look! Do you love it as much as I do?

What an absolutely GORGEOUS dress! It looks more blush on the website than in your pic, is it just the beautiful backdrop or is yours a different colour?

The color on the Revolve site is a bit more pale than the actual color of the dress. I think the most accurate representation of the color is the first photo I posted in the blog post (the one before the text)! So glad you love the dress and such a wonderful surprise hearing from you!! xx yael
