Hi guys!! I am in Israel on vacation so there will be a bit of a hiatus on the blog for about 1 ½ weeks until I return. I’ll be sharing photos on Instagram and videos on Snapchat (user name: yaelsteren) in the interim so make sure to check them out!
Now on to today’s post.
I love TV. I especially love when TV and fashion merge so of course one of my favorite shows to watch is the Fashion Fund. Every year the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) teams up with Vogue to offer three designers (one winner and two runner ups) a monetary prize and mentorship with an established designer in the industry. The Fashion Fund chronicles the application and selection process of the designers and judges respectively.
One of the 2013 finalists of the Fashion Fund was Veronica Beard (I’m not going to say which designer won in case you go back and watch – which I highly recommend you do)! I loved Veronica Beard’s designs and continued to follow the brand after the show ended, which is how I discovered this amazing top!
The obvious choice would be to pair this silk top with a skirt or pants because of its delicate details and fabrication, so instead I decided to take the look in the opposite direction! Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box and pair a dressy top with a more casual bottom!

I hope you’re enjoying Israel…I can’t wait to see pictures! :) Hmm…I haven’t watched any fashion shows but I have a huge criminal show obsession! I’ll have to check out the Fashion Fund when I get some time! I also love your outfit…I’m really into ripped jeans and shorts such as the Levi’s 501 cutoff shorts!! I think you wear this outfit perfectly with the lace top and the ripped shorts. :)
