Without question, my favorite item to wear once the weather gets warmer is the maxi dress. In fact, there’s a good chance that I’ve worn a maxi dress in more blog posts than jeans! So what better way to kick off the warmer weather that’s finally in NYC (yay!!) than with my favorite spring and summer wardrobe staple – the maxi dress!
The biggest reason I love maxi dresses is because they are loose fitting. I hate wearing anything that is super tight when it’s hot outside. Another reason I consider maxi dresses a wardrobe staple is because of how versatile they are. Throw on a jean jacket and a pair of flip flops for a more casual feel or a pair of sandals for a more dressed up look.
I’m also a huge fan of maxi dresses because they don’t require a lot of thinking. As much as I enjoy putting together outfits, sometimes I’m tired and just want to be able to throw on one piece and be done (as opposed to putting together separates)!
