There are a few things in life I think it’s worth spending money on. One of them is skincare.
I’d rather invest in my skincare and take preventive measures than have to spend a lot more down the line trying to reverse unwanted effects. Every penny I’ve spent has been well worth it to see the look of shock on people’s face when they find out that I’m 37!
As an early birthday gift to myself (I’ll be 38 at the end of the month, yikes!), I decided to go to Russak Dermatology to meet with Dr. Julie Russak and see whether there were any treatments and/or skin care products that would help improve the appearance of my skin.
My consultation with Dr. Russak was everything I could have hoped for and more. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient with all of my questions (and trust me, there were a lot)!
Together we looked at my face in a mirror and Dr. Russak pointed out certain areas which exhibited a volume deficit. Dr. Russak explained that as you get older one of the first areas to lose volume is the triangular area below the nose and below the corners of your lips. This deficit can be corrected by the injection of a hyaluronic acid filler in precise places. If the deficits are addressed early enough then only a small amount of product needs to be used!
To supplement the treatment Dr. Russak recommended I use SkinCeuticals’ Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier.
Hyaluronic acid (“HA”) is naturally produced in our body and keeps skin looking plump, firm, and smooth. As you age, the amount of HA in the skin diminishes, which can lead to dryness, fine lines, sagging and wrinkles (boo!). An HA filler provides support from the inside out. SkinCeutical’s H.A. Intensifier compliments the HA filler by providing support from the outside in, which helps to renew the appearance of plumpness, elasticity and firmness in your skin and maintain the results of your treatment!
The best part – HA is beneficial for all skin types and is extremely gentle, which means that even if you have sensitive skin (like me) you can use SkinCeuticals’ HA Intensifier!
