{One of my fave bloggers – Lorna Luxe}
This past Thursday fashion week ended in New York and it’s been a blast!! Aside from attending shows, which were amazing, my other favorite part of fashion week was meeting up with other bloggers! In fact, one of the best surprises of blogging, which I hadn’t anticipated, was the new friendships I would form.
This is one of the outfits I wore to an event for Fashion Week. I LOVE all the individual pieces of this outfit. The shorts are high waisted and the pleats make it a bit more dressy. In the fall I will definitely wear them with black opaque stockings, a black bootie and sweater. This long blazer is one of my favorite finds to date. Menswear for women is chic, edgy, and effortless – the perfect combination!
Because I knew I was going to be meeting with a lot of people throughout the day, I decided to team back up with Folica to get help with styling my hair (after all I was obsessed with the beach waves and pin curls that they helped me achieve last time we collaborated here).
This time I asked for simple, effortless waves. To achieve this look, the stylist first applied heat thermal spray to my wet hair. After blow-drying my hair, it was time to add the waves. Using this curling iron, the stylist explained that the trick is to always curl away from your face at first. Then alternate curling pieces towards and away from your face to achieve that natural wave. Afterwards apply a texturizing spray near the roots to give your hair some added volume and finally apply hairspray to set the look!
So what do you think of this outfit and hairstyle? Let me know in the comments below!
