Today’s post is all about my must-have makeup products! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions in the comments section below!
1. Huda Beauty New Nude Eyeshadow Palette: Of all the eyeshadow palettes I have, this is the one I use the most. The shadows are super pigmented, matte (aside from the sparkly ones of course), and have great staying power!
2. Stila Convertible Color: I’ve been using the Stila Convertible Color for well over ten years and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. It’s a light-weight creamy formula which applies to the skin like a dream. You can easily create a naturally flushed look (and of course you can apply more layers if you want a more pigmented vibe). This product is marketed for use on both the cheeks and lips; I’m a huge fan of how it looks on my lips although it is slightly drying (I also have naturally dry lips which doesn’t help)!
3. Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color: Another staple of mine that I’ve had for years. I hate worrying about fallout from powder eyeshadows and this Laura Mercier eyeshadow stick eliminates that problem. The formula is creamy so it doesn’t pull on the eye and it has great staying power. FYI there are a ton of shades in various finishes depending on what you’re looking for.
4. Nudestix Nudies Matte Blush & Bronze: After reading tons of positive reviews, I recently purchased a few shades of the Nudestix Nudies to try them out. I really like the formula and the shades are also beautiful (if you have coloring similar to mine I highly recommend the shade Bare Back).
5. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette: Hourglass is one of the best brands if you’re looking for a beautiful, natural highlight that isn’t sparkly. I love this trio because you can use it as a bronzer and highlighter for a natural fresh glow!
6. Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow: This is a great bronzer and highlighter duo. The bronzer is very matte and works great as an eyeshadow too.
7. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: I have really sensitive skin so foundations are always tricky for me. Over the years I’ve tried several brands but the Armani Luminous Silk remains my favorite (FYI I’m a shade 2 in the winter and 4 in the summer).
8. Beauty Blender: My absolute favorite way to apply foundation. I love the beauty blender so much I wrote an entire post about it, which you can read here.
9. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz: Up until a few months ago, my go-to eyebrow pencil was the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil. The only reason I switched was because the shade (soft brunette) was reading a little reddish on me. The Anastasia pencil is a better color match for me, however I do find that the triangle shaped tip of the Hourglass pencil makes it easier to apply than the Anastasia.
10. Glossier Cloud Paint: I’ve been using the Glossier cloud paints for a few years now. A little goes a LONG way so make sure to apply it with a light hand. One of my favorite ways to wear it is as a blush and also as an eyeshadow!
11. NARS Matte Velvet Lip Pencil: An all-star favorite of mine. I love a matte lip, but because my lips tend to be dry it’s challenging to find a lipstick that works. The Nars Matte Velvet Lip Pencil is by far the best product I’ve found to create a matte lip. The formula is great (not drying) and it has amazing staying power. Even though it’s called a lip pencil, it’s actually applied to the entire lip and doesn’t need anything on top. I own this lip pencil in just about every shade!
12. NARS Highlighting Powder: NARS makes beautiful bronzers and highlighters. I love both because they have a shimmer but no glitter or sparkle!
13. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder: I don’t use setting powder often but when I do this is my favorite. I want to try out the “baking” technique I’ve seen and read about so I’ll let you know how that goes when I do!
14. Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani Matte Lipstick: The shades of this lipstick are BEAUTIFUL! I find that certain shades are a little more drying than others though I’m not sure why.
15. MAC Pro Longwear Concealer: I know people swear by Shape Tape, but I found that all it did was draw attention to the bags under my eyes. Similarly, aside from the Pro Longwear Concealer by MAC, every other brand of under eye concealer I’ve tried has resulted in this unfortunate outcome. When applying under eye concealer, use your ring finger to dab on a tiny amount; make sure to use a patting (as opposed to swiping) motion.
