Sorry for being M.I.A. this past week. I cut my finger and ended up needing stitches and a tetanus shot (lesson learned: don’t use a dull scissor to open packages)! I’m finally getting back into the swing of things but today’s post is going to be a bit shorter than normal.
When I saw this skirt in the window of Lexie, I immediately knew I wanted it. I love the color blocking and panels combined with the pleats.
The only thing I didn’t know was how I wanted to style the skirt for this shoot. I ultimately went for a slightly more dressy look, but I also think it would look super cool paired with a grey t-shirt and white sneakers or nude sandals.
How would you choose to style this skirt? Let me know in the comments below!
{Top: J.Crew | Skirt: Delfi (c/o) (also available here) | Belt: Gucci | Shoes: Manolo Blahnik | Sunglasses: alice + olivia (also available here and here)| Earrings: Hart (c/o) | Lipstick: Nars (shade Red Square) | Ring: Monica Vinader (c/o) | Watch: Cartier | Nailpolish: OPI (shade Alpine Snow)}

I had an OMG moment when I read you cut your finger with dull scissors. I hope you’re okay now! It’s the first thing they taught us in graphic design funny enough, dull blades are more dangerous than sharp ones!
Love the skirt btw. Totally meant to be!

You’re 100% right. Typically I open my packages with a rotary cutter but it broke and so I thought, hmm, I guess I’ll just use these scissors (full well knowing they were dull and this was a likely outcome) and of course this happened. Lesson learned!! Thanks so much for thinking of me! xx yael
