How to Dress Down a Fancy Skirt

Today I’m sharing one of my favorite style tricks – wearing a piece in an unexpected way!
 
This feather maxi skirt definitely has a formal feel and would look amazing paired with a more fancy top. But chances are you aren’t attending that many fancy events, so a great way to get more use out of a formal skirt is by dressing it down.
 
I opted for this long sleeve chambray top because it’s still somewhat chilly outside, however once the weather warms up a bit more I definitely plan on pairing this skirt with a graphic tee and white sneakers!
