My schedule has been busier than ever lately and today I’m excited to share one of the reasons why – – I’m renovating my apartment!!
 
I moved into my current apartment almost ten years ago. At the time I painted and redid the floors but aside from that I brought all the furniture I previously owned with me. Over the next few years I bought a new coffee table, rug, and light fixture. Furniture, as I’m sure you know, can be costly and I knew I’d rather save up and buy great pieces rather than rush the process and buy inexpensive pieces that wouldn’t last long term.
 
My desire to make further changes to my apartment was put aside when I decided to leave law and work as a personal stylist and influencer. I knew money would be tight and to me it was a no brainer – keep the broken dresser in my bedroom and pursue my dreams! The only downside over the years has been that I’ve never felt my apartment truly reflects me. A lot of people assume that since I have an eye for fashion, I would equally be talented with interior design, but sadly that’s not the case. While I can look at a completed room and know what I do and don’t like, I have no clue when it comes to furniture arrangement, painting ideas, etc.
 
I have my first meeting with the interior decorator on Tuesday and I’m SOOO excited!! I’ll be documenting and sharing the whole process with you so stay tuned. In the meantime, I’d love to hear where you look for interior design inspo!!!
 
And now a quick note about this outfit – even though I’m pretty much clueless when it comes to the interior design process I do know that I plan on having pink accents in my bedroom, so what better way to tie in my love for pink than with a pink dress and a pink backdrop!! Hope you love it as much as I do!
