Galentine’s Day Dinner with Ann Taylor

Last week I had the opportunity to celebrate Galentine’s Day with Ann Taylor. If you aren’t familiar Galentine’s Day takes place the day before Valentine’s Day and celebrates the special friendships you have with your girlfriends!

Before sitting down to dinner, we gathered to listen to a panel discussion on the topic of friendship. One of my favorite questions asked was – what is the best advice you’ve received from a friend? Some of the answers included: (1) be patient, (2) this will be over in a week, and (3) feedback is a gift, so think of it that way. I especially love the last answer because I know that I can count on my close friends to always tell me the truth rather than just give me the advice I would want to hear!

After the panel discussion, we headed to another room for dinner. How pretty is the tablescape?!

And we had the opportunity to see some of the new Ann Taylor shoes! If you haven’t typically associated Ann Taylor with great shoes, now is the time to start because they have a great collection of shoes that are chic, comfortable, and super affordable (remember these yellow sandals?)!

I chose to make these red suede pumps the focal point of my outfit. I love the bow detail (which I’ve never seen on another pair of shoes) and of course the color! To make sure the shoes stood out, I paired them with this striped shirtdress, which almost acts as a neutral!
