I am not someone who likes going to the gym. I have always preferred getting my exercise through other methods. In college I took dance class and now I rely on walking and Pilates. Although I walked quite a bit in the spring and summer when the weather was nice out, in the winter, I tended to slack off.
And then, a little less than one year ago, I happened to be watching ABC news and saw a segment on the Fitbit One.

The Fitbit One monitors how many steps a day you take, how many stairs you climb, and additional information.
This product was exactly what I was looking for, a way of monitoring exactly how much I was (or wasn’t) walking each day. Intrigued, I looked into the Fitbit One and other similar products and decided to buy the Fitbit One because it was rated the highest for accuracy.
After having used the Fitbit One for almost a year now I can without a doubt say that I love it! Every morning I hook it onto my bra (there are other places you can put it or wear it as well) and I can check throughout the day to see how active or inactive I am. If I check and see that I have barely walked all day, it is a great motivator to get me up and about!
