Last week I spoke about one of my favorite fall trends, bandanas. Today, let’s talk about two more of my favorite fall trends – pink and block heels!
Pink was seen all over the runway, and I couldn’t be happier. I love all shades of pink, be it blush or more of a bubble gum pink like the sweater I’m wearing in today’s post. If pink feels outside your comfort zone, you can always start small. Incorporate it into your outfit with an accessory, like a bag, shoes, piece of jewelry, or scarf.
Now onto my other favorite fall trend – block heels! If you happen to shy away from heels because you don’t think they are comfortable then this trend solves all your problems! Yes, that’s right, block heels are comfortable because they provide support.
I’ve never worn block heels before and so I chose to get this pair of Nicholas Kirkwood’s for my first go at this trend. It’s no secret that I love my white flat Nicholas Kirkwoods, so I figured why not get the exact same shoe, but with a heel; and I couldn’t be happier. I walked all over NYC in these shoes and they were just as comfortable as my flats!
Just remember when you choose a pair of block heels, make sure they have a pointed toe (not round). The narrower toe box will visually extend the line of your leg making it appear longer!
So what are your thoughts on these trends? Are you going to try them out? Let me know in the comments below!
