It may seem hard to think about fall fashion when it’s 90 degrees out, but pre-fall collections are already out! One color you are guaranteed to see in the pre-fall and fall collections is rust.
Rust happens to be one of those colors that is universally flattering so if you haven’t worn this color before now is the time!
To keep my look from feeling too wintry I balanced out the top and skirt with white shoes and a bright lipstick!

How very surprising ! This is exactly the outfit a lady-friend of mine wore when we were out on our first day-date together. I remember that day so very fondly. We first met for coffee, and later took a leisurely stroll along tree-lined small streets. It was in May i think…oh ….no, it was September rather. Later we went to the closest park, and had some sangria together. Oh what a perfect day it was. There were smiles and looks and laughter and conversations flowed naturally and full of delight, connivance, and anticipation. She had some family event to get to and so we parted ways at sunset, both rather agog.
Oh she looked so good that day….I still think about her sometimes, and when i do, also about how she was dressed that time, …..such equilibrium of style and fluency in the language of attire. It was perfect for a day-date. ….my ummm…buttons were softly pressed. ….long sigh….reminiscent smile.
A voice from the crowd hollers: “NEVARR MIND ABOUT BUTTONS LEX, …WHAT HAPPENED NEXT ?” The crowd mumbles agreement : Yeah …and then ? and then what ?
Well, she moved away to Antarctica suddenly, just a couple of days later. (a dream job). She met a fellow-scientist there and they got married soon-after.
