And now onto the post! I often get asked what chambray is and whether it is different from denim, so for today’s post I wanted to answer that question!
The difference between chambray and denim lies in the way the fabric is woven. Chambray is a plain weave, whereas denim is a twill weave. Not sure which fabric it is? Take a quick look at the reverse side. If the fabric has diagonal lines, it is denim; if the fabric has a “criss-cross” weave, it’s chambray!

Now i know ! Thanks for that. What i don’t know still is : the romper, is it chambray or denim ? Can one tell without looking on the reverse side ? Well, i suppose i can go on without knowing this, without any noticeable discomfort.
