Capes

I love buying pieces that can transition from season to season. The cape is a perfect example of this type of item! 
In the winter, you can put a coat on over the cape and then remove the coat when you get to your destination. When it starts to get warmer out the cape serves as the coat.
 
Speaking of warmer weather, I remember that one of the most frustrating things about getting dressed for work in the summer was the extreme difference between the super hot temperature outside and the freezing cold temperature inside the office. If your office tends to be cold, a cape is a great layering piece and fun alternative to a a cardigan or blazer!
