Friday Favorite: Koh Gen Do Foundation

One of the questions I am asked most often is whether I wear foundation, and if so, which one? So what better way to kick off the Friday Favorites series than by talking about my favorite brand of foundation: Koh Gen Do. I have been using Koh Gen Do for almost six years and have no plans on changing in the future.
 
Koh Gen Do is a Japanese brand, which specializes in skin care products and high definition makeup. As someone with sensitive skin, I can attest to the fact that I have never had an allergic reaction to it and as crazy as it may sound, my skin usually looks better after wearing it.
 
The coverage is somewhat sheer, however you can build up the coverage. The foundation lasts all day, including on hot days.
 
It can be a bit tricky figuring out the right shade for your skin tone. If you don’t live near a Sephora, you can contact customer service and ask them to send you a sampler of the different shades. Keep in mind that with the Maifanshi moisture foundations, the shades that start with a 0 are for pink/cool skin tones, and the shades that start with a 1 are for ochre/warm skin tones.
